American Kestrel: Upper East Side 15-Apr

This male American Kestrel was seen around 11:30am this morning hunting from an antennae near my apartment.

Kestrels have been seen in the area, including perched on this antennae, over the past few years.

• Focal length in 35mm film: 420mm
• Distance to subject: approx. 70 feet

The photo was taken handheld with image stabilization on.
